Strong Lives, Self-Care, and the Most Overlooked Factor In Routines

Strong Lives: Self-Care and Why It’s Critical to the Fulfillment of Purpose

September is National Month for Self-Improvement. It’s also the National Month for Self-Care Awareness. However, what exactly is “self-care?” The dictionary defines it as the practice of taking an active role in protecting one’s well-being and happiness, in particular during periods of stress. However, I like WHO’s definition better “The ability of individuals, families, and communities to promote health, prevent disease, maintain health, and to cope with illness and disability with or without the support of a healthcare provider.”

Self-care doesn’t mean being selfish. It means putting your well-being first so that you can take care of yourself, loved ones, be productive, perform your work responsibilities, serve your community and fulfill your purpose. It also empowers you to manage stress better and improves your outlook on life.
One of the most overlooked factors in self-care is the adverse effects of electropollution on wellness. Research shows that excessive exposure to electromagnetic fields leads to electro-stress, fatigue, headaches, poor concentration, sleep disturbances, and a host of other health issues. Awareness and education are keys to important knowledge about the growing problem so that you can prevent, protect and mitigate the ill effects of exposure.

Productivity=success, progress, accomplishments, and the fulfillment of one’s potentials. Studies show that there is a ten-year latency period for the manifestation of symptoms. Think about the potential health problems that might be prevented by taking precautions.

Since it’s airborne (like Covid), the only way to protect yourself is by first taking the time to understand what it is…#educateyourself. Studies show that it affects productivity and wellness. Empower yourself to take charge of your and your family’s wholeness. Google it right now.

How can you incorporate electropollution mindfulness into your self-care regimen?

1. Eliminate all wireless connections, especially at home. Hardwire internet access. Disable Bluetooth and Wifi.

2. Use technology safely by using a speakerphone during the use of your cell phone and putting it in airplane mode when not in use. The legal disclaimers and cautions regarding mobile devices are hidden in the settings, general, legal, and regulatory, RF Exposure area of an iPhone. Duration of exposure and proximity of radiation-emitting device (your cell phone) to the body (distance) is key.

3. Distance is your friend. Since research shows that electromagnetic radiation is hazardous to human health, make sure that your Wifi router and wiring in your home office (if applicable) is at least 23 feet away from your body.

4. Make your home a sanctuary, especially the sleeping area. Eliminate all wires and electronics. Seriously! I did and my rest significantly improved.

5. Educate yourself about your healthcare options. Many people overlook or aren’t aware of wellness partners like functional health doctors and alternative medicine physicians who look at health problems holistically and treat the whole person not just symptoms. Many of them also factor in environmental issues like electropollution and dirty electricity in treatment plans. It takes a team of experts to be well, so including functional health professionals in your care can make a big difference in the way that you feel sooner than later. Google “functional health doctor near me” right now!
